Practical learning tools for Bangladeshi students.

Study Koro is a free educational resource built by and for Bangladeshi students. We make academic tools and study guides that are honest, accurate, and easy to use — the kind of resources we wished we had during our own school, college, and university years.

What we do

We focus on two things:

• Calculators that implement the official grading rules used in Bangladesh — the Ministry of Education's 5.00 GPA scale for SSC and HSC, the University Grants Commission's 4.00 scale for university CGPA, and the British Council / IDP band rules for IELTS.
• Guides on the practical questions Bangladeshi students actually search for: how GPA works, how to prepare for IELTS, how to apply to universities abroad, how to write applications and SOPs, and how to navigate scholarships and visas.

Why we built it

Most academic tools available to Bangladeshi students are either incorrect (using Indian or international grading rules), heavy with ads and pop-ups, or so confusingly designed that students stop trusting the result. We wanted to build something different: simple, fast, accurate, and free — with no account required and no data collected from your inputs.

The same applies to our writing. The internet has plenty of generic study-abroad content, but very little written from a Bangladeshi student's perspective with realistic costs, real visa processes, and the specific rules that apply here. We try to fill that gap.

How we work

• Original content. Every guide is written from scratch, not copy-pasted or AI-spun.
• Verified against official sources. Grading rules, scholarship details, and visa requirements are checked against official board, UGC, embassy, and university documents — and updated when those rules change.
• No paywalls, no signups. Every tool and every guide is free to use.
• Privacy-first. Calculator inputs stay in your browser. We don't collect or store the marks, grades, or scores you enter.

Editorial standards

When we publish a guide, we follow three rules:

1. Useful before clever. Concrete numbers, real examples, and step-by-step instructions instead of motivational filler.
2. Honest about limits. If a topic has exceptions, official ambiguity, or genuine risk, we say so.
3. Updated when reality changes. Visa rules, scholarship deadlines, and university requirements shift constantly. We revisit our guides and date every meaningful change.

Who runs Study Koro

Study Koro is run by a small group of Bangladeshi graduates with backgrounds in engineering, education, and editorial work. We've been through the SSC, HSC, university CGPA, and IELTS process ourselves, and several of our contributors have gone through study-abroad applications to the UK, Australia, and Germany.
