SSC GPA Calculator

Calculate your SSC GPA for Science, Commerce, and Arts groups across all Bangladesh education boards. Uses official grading rules.

Core subjects

4th subject (bonus)

Marks above grade C (2.00) add to your GPA up to a max of 5.00.

How this calculator works

This calculator follows the official grading scale of the Bangladesh Education Boards: A+ = 5.00, A = 4.00, A− = 3.50, B = 3.00, C = 2.00, D = 1.00, F = 0.00. Your SSC GPA is the average of the grade points of your main subjects. The 4th-subject rule is applied automatically — if your 4th-subject grade point is greater than 2.00, the excess (grade point minus 2.00) is added to your total before averaging. If you fail any subject (F), the overall GPA is 0.00 regardless of the others.

How to use it

  1. Select your group (Science, Commerce, or Arts).
  2. Enter the letter grade or marks for each main subject.
  3. Enter the grade for your 4th subject (the bonus is applied automatically).
  4. Read your GPA, total grade points, and equivalent percentage from the result card.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 4th-subject bonus applied automatically?
Yes. If your 4th-subject grade point is greater than 2.00, the excess is added to your total grade points before averaging — exactly as the boards calculate it.
What is the highest SSC GPA possible?
GPA 5.00 — sometimes called GPA 5 with Golden A+, which means you scored A+ in every subject including the 4th subject.
What happens if I fail one subject?
If you receive an F in any subject, the official rule is that your overall GPA becomes 0.00 — you must retake that subject to clear the SSC certificate.
Does this calculator work for Madrasah and Technical boards?
The grading scale is the same. The main subject list may differ, so use the closest matching group and update subject names as needed.
Is this an official result?
No. This is an estimate based on the official grading rules. Your real GPA is whatever the education board issues on your marksheet.
